Mrs. Margaie Spears Wilson's Obituary
Margaie Wilson. commonly known as Marge, was born on November 5, 1919, to the late Conelius and Beulah Spears in Shucktown, Mississippi. She was baptized and attended Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Shucktown Mississippi. After spending years in Shucktown, she married Fletcher Wilson who preceded her in death on February 9, 1957. They moved to Chicago, Illinois. While in Chicago, she was a faithful member at the Alpha and Omega Missionary Baptist Church. She spent many years of employment at a local Chicago hospital and retired. In 1998, she moved back to Meridian, Ms. Upon her return, she joined the 31st Avenue Missionary Baptist Church. While there, she served on the deaconess board. She was also a member of the Missionary Society and Pastor's Aid Club. In December 2006, she reunited with the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Shucktown, Ms. She was a faithful member until her health declined in October 2011. She was a very active member in the women's auxiliary of the NAACP and was a member of the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program. After a lengthy illness, she made her transition from this life on November 7, 2013, at Qween City Nursing Home. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; one sister, Lela Mae Spears, of Meridian, MS.; nephews Clifton Spears (Pamela) of Marietta, GA. Clarence Spears, of Meridian. MS.; Conelius Spears, (Machell) of Chicago, IL.; Otis Spears (Phyllis) of Mableton, GA.; Glasco Benden of Puyallup, Washington; one niece, Lucille Crenshaw of Gulfport, MS.; brother-in-law, Robert Wilson of Meridian, MS.; and a host of cousins and friends.
