Ms. Margie Ree Powe's Obituary
Margie Ree Powe passed away at the age of 78 on March 23, 2017at Anderson's Hospital in Meridian, MS. Margie was born on October 16th, 1938 in Kemper, MS to Roger Powe and Eva Rush. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and served on the Missionary Board and the Lola Faulkner Circle at Fifth Street Baptist Church. She also worked at St. Patrick's School for 38 years until her retirement. Margie was incredibly passionate and proud of her family. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Eva Rush; her father, Roger Powe; her two sisters, Vera Brown and Alice Evans; her five brothers, Calvin McCaleb, Roger Lee Gaddis, Ezell Gordon, William Powe, and Lavelle Powe and a grandchild, Loni Davis. Margie leaves to cherish memories, her daughters; Shirleen (Reginald) Gaddis and Carolyn Powe both of Meridian, MS. Three sons; James (Elizabeth) Powe, Terry (Latasha) Powe, and Calvin (Sabrina) Powe, all of Meridian, MS. Two sisters; Elvada McCoy of Dekalb, MS and Emma (John) Newell of Meridian, MS. One brother; Author James (Retha) Powe of Meridian, MS. Nine grandchildren; Chris, Tiara D., Shericka, Jamarean, Destiney, Jasmine, Maliyah, Tiara P., and Jonathan. A God-sent son, Earnest Ball. Five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
