Mrs. Margie Ree Norman's Obituary
Margie Ree Brown Norman was born February 1, 1944 to the late Annie Mae brown and W.C. Price in Lauderdale county Mississippi.
She received her education at Middleton High school. She also attended Meridian Community College where she trained to become a nurse in September 1981.
Margie joined the Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. she later joined Fifth Street Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor W.C. Brown where she served until her health failed,
She was a full time usher, secretary, treasurer of the Lola Faulkner Mission Circle. She was also an original member of the Traveling Echoes Gospel singers, county Wide Usher Board, and served as Secretary of the Clarke, Lauderdale and Newton County Quarter Singing Convention. Her hobbies included singing, cooking, and taking care of her children and grandchildren.
Margie was preceded in death by her mother, Annie M. Price, a brother, Arthur Price, grandchild, Mark Anthony Hopson Jr. and a special friend Eddie Alexander.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four children: Jerry Davis, Sherron Lewis (Anthony), Celicia Norman, and Tarris Norman; one foster sister, Dessie Ree Wilson, Meridian, MS; five sisters: Annie Bell Good of Las Vegas; Mary Rice (Eddie), Dorothy Banks (Lee) and Dorothy J. Mackey, all of Harrisburg, PA; Sarah Foster (Charles) of Meridian, MS; and one step sister, Annie Brown of Florida ; five brothers; Bobby Price (Ann), John T. Price, and Walter Price, all of Harrisburg, PA; James Price (Annie) and John L. Price, both of Meridian, MS; 13 grandchildren: Erica Davis, Jamie Davis, Shaterrah Agee, Kederian Agee, Justin K. Hopson, Destiny Norman, Shakayla Agee, Princess Lewis, Skyler Norman, and Jayden Norman, all of Meridian, MS; Jerold and Jerrica Davis of Harrisburg, PA; two great-grandchildren: Jaylen and Nickolas Davis of Meridian, MS; a special God-daughter, Cheryl Brookins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
