Marie Burton was born on January 26, 1953, to the late Christine Burton in Meridian, MS. She departed her life on June 10, 2023, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Burton; two sisters Elizabeth Burton and Joann Johnson; nephew, Tim Burton; and one grandchild Jay'vyn Burton, and one great grandchild Nova Sheffield. Marie leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Yolanda Burton and Kimberly Burton (Jacode Stewart Sr. loving son-in-law); one son Arthur Burton; two brothers Eddie Johnson and Harry Johnson; and one sister Peggy McDonald. She also leaves to cherish her memories eleven grandchildren, Jadarius Burton, Keyshawn Burton, Ja'Quann Burton, Azaria Burton, Kyra Burton, Kadejah Sheffield, Jacode Stewart Jr., Questasia Burton; Zybaria Burton, Kexavius Burton, and Jayla Burton; one great grandchild Jay'veon Pruitt.
