Ms. Marquisha Shanice Davis' Obituary
We celebrate the beautiful life and memory of an amazing mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She was truly one of a kind. Marquisha had an infectious smile that would light up the room whenever she entered. She always wanted to make others feel joyful on any occasion.
On June 16, 1993 in Meridian, Mississippi, a bundle of joy named Marquisha Shanice Davis entered this world to the proud parents of Marilyn Davis and the late James Green. From the day she entered this world, Marquis ha brought joy and laughter to everyone she knew. Marquisha was educated through the Meridian Public School District. She was 2011 graduate of Meridian High School. She attended Lively Stone Fellowship Church and Freedom Rock Cathedral. Marquisha was a dedicated employee of Subway. She was a hard worker who loved her job.
"Big Qui", as she was affectionately known, loved to entertain. She loved being surrounded by family and friends. She loved to entertain, dance and have fun. She also had a passion for kickball. A wonderful mother of two, Masiya and LaKensle, Marquisha's children were her world, and she held an unbreakable bond with them. ·On July 3, 2022 at her residence, Marquisha answered God's call to rest from her labor and received her reward to move into her Heavenly Home. She was preceded in death by her father; her brother, Michael "Madd Dog" Davis; and her maternal grandparents: Willie O. Davis, Sr., and Corine Davis. She leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to her daughters, Masiya Lockhart and LaKensle Smith both of Meridian, MS; her mother: Marilyn Davis of Meridian, MS; her siblin'gs: Latonya M Davis of Meridian, MS and Corey Davis of Atlanta, GA; nephews: Brandon Miller of Atlanta, GA and Jaylen Davis of Meridian, MS; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who will forever miss her.
The cherished memories of Marquisha will forever be with the host of family and friends who loved her, and those memories will be held on to forever. Although she was only 29 years old, she loved and touched so many lives through her hard work ethics and her positive outlook on life.
