Mr. Marshall Perry, Jr.'s Obituary
Marshall Perry, Jr. was born June 24, 1953, to the late Marshel and Ollie Louise Perry in Shuqualak, Mississippi. He moved to Meridian at an early age. He joined First Union Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. R.S. Porter. He loved and believed in God as his savior. He attended Mississippi School for the Blind in Jackson, MS. He worked for Royal Maid Industries in Hazelhurst, MS until he retired for medical reasons. He enjoyed working and being independent. Marshall enjoyed singing, listening to music ad being around family. He loved a good game of dominoes and would “rock” the game.
He was not limited by his blindness. He enjoyed many fun times as a child with his sisters and brothers, even getting into trouble with them. He loved singing songs with his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He loved children. He was a resident of R.P. White Nursing Home. He especially loved the outings for good food because he loved his friend chicken, trips to Wal-Mart and the fair. The simplest things in life gave him happiness.
On Friday, August 22, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. at Rush Specialty, Marshall went home to be with God and all of his love ones who have gone before him.
