Mrs. Mary Ann Hale was born to Mr. Dewitt & Mrs. Mae Bell Hale on June z 1, 1941 in Meridian, MS. She attended the Meridian Public School.
Mary Ann worked at Maywebb Hosiery Mill, Riley's Cleaner and Paul Brodhead and Associated where she later retired from after having health problems.
Mary Ann Hale united with the Historical First Union Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Roy L. Brown where she served faithful in the Roy L. Brown Choir, the usher board and the fellowship committee. Mary Ann passion was her family first and cooking.
Later in life she married her sweetheart Mr. Charles Sparrow Grant to this union five children was born to this marriage along with her first born son Michael Hale. Mary Ann and Charles were married 45 years.
Preceded in death by: her husband, Mr. Charles Sparrow Grant, her parents; Dewitt & Mae Bell Hale, two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Naylor & Brenda Hale.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Three sons: Michael Hale (Janice), Charles Grant Jr. (Janice), Keith Grant (Tiffany), all of Meridian, MS; Three daughters: Betty Grant, Linda Grant Blakney (Maurice), Meridian, MS, and Brenda Grant Wade (Derrick), Baker, Louisi-ana. Four step-daughters that she help raised like her own, Monica, Grant, Fairfield, NC., Brenda Dennis, Chicago IL., Anita Freeman (Fredrick) and Audrey Lawrence, Compton, CA; one step-son Tony Larkin (Doris) Atlanta, GA. 30 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. Her extended family The Brodhead's Paul and Suzanna whom she helps raise like her own. "But we remember now in love, your life from start to end, and we're just glad we knew you, As a Mother, and as Friend.
