Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Johnson's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Thomas Johnson was born on March 15, 1942 to the late Joh Wesley and Argurtha Thomas in Bailey, Mississippi.
Mary attended Middleton Attendance Center. At an early age, she was baptized at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bailey, MS.
Mary united in holy matrimony to her high school sweetheart Reo Johnson, who she shared 57 wonderful years with. She began her work experience at Meridian One Hour Modernizing Cleaners. She later gained employment with Dr. Mel Scott Brown, where she worked for many years before retiring from Riley Hospital.
She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved sons: Michael Johnson (Debra) and Scottie Devon Johnson (Parrish); three grandchildren: Franchesca Johnson, Sharae Johnson, and Scottie Johnson Jr.; three step-grandchildren: Natrosha, Tristen and Diamond; one great-granddaughter: Chanel Scott; siblings: Charlene Allen (Johnny) and Charles Barnett both of Meridian, MS and Burnetta Thomas Smith (Leon) of Chicago, IL; two brothers-in-law: Walter Evans and Willie Johnson; and two sisters-in-law: Ilene Johnson and Annie Lee Thomas. Mary was a loving mentor to her nieces, nephew, great nieces, great nephew, cousins and beloved god-daughter, Cassandra Hosley
