Mrs. Mary R. Johnson's Obituary
Mrs. Mary R. Johnson was the oldest one of eight children. She was born October 7, 1942 to the late Elizabeth and James Coleman. She was born in Pushmataha, Alabama. She attended school in Lisman, Alabama. At an early age she joined Gilfield Missionary Baptist Church of Lisman, Alabama. She grew up in Pushmataha, Alabama. Mary loved fishing and spent many days on the banks fishing. She also loved spending time with family and looked forward to their visits. She always had a warm heart and a big smile. She lived a full life and loved people. On February 26,2023, Mary departed this life at her home. Her brother James Edward Coleman, three of her sisters, Lucille Nicholson, Nazaree Peoples, Sylvia Morissetti, preceded Mary in death. Her parting is bittersweet for her family and friends who will miss her dearly: her daughter Judy Davis of Quitman, MS; her grandchildren, Dominic and Carlos Davis; her three great grand children; her sisters, Nellie (Ricky) McCaskill of Gulfport, MS; Coritha (Jack) Coleman of Lisman, Alabama; Daisy (Ernest) Jasper of Quitman, MS; her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Although Mary is gone, she will never be forgotten.
