Mrs. Mary Kathryn Burns Gandy's Obituary
Mary Kathryn Gandy was born on May 21, 1954 to Thelbert Ratcliff and Cora Lee Burns in Rosehill, Mississippi. Mary grew up in New Prospect Baptist Church, then later joined First Baptist Church of Enterprise. She graduated from Enterprise High School. after graduation, she relocated to California where she lived with her Aunt Katherine Gray. To all those who knew Mary, they saw her kind heart and loving spirit. Mary Kathryn made her transition into eternity on March 31, 2018. We praise God for the time He gave us to love Mary and he will be deeply missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children: Ricky Burns, Latoya (Patrick) Pinson, Keona Gandy (Randy) Ruffin, Burrell (Shirley) Gandy and Junior Gandy; nine siblings: Mary (Earl) Davis, Mattie Dell Burns, Levon Burns, Roy (Willie May) Burns, Ray Charles Burns, Dianne Berry, Mattie (Jarrett) Brown, Hester Breland and Tessie Johnson; half-brothers: Thelbert (Liz) Ratcliff and Lysander (Mary) Ratcliff; one uncle, Jack Dobbins; two aunts, Pearline Abney and Rosemary Thames. Mary also leaves to cherish her memory: 14 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces great nephews and cousins.
