Mrs. Mary Alice Smith's Obituary
Elder Mary A. Smith was born July 24, 1948 to the late Ethel May Spinks and the late Hurt Spinks, Sr. in Cuba, AL. Mary confe5sed her faith at an early age and was a faithful member of the Alpha and Omega Holiness Church under the leadership of Chief Apostle Freddie Ford, Sr. until her health failed. Mary united in holy matrimony to Overseer Eugene Smith in I 965. He preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was four brothers: Earnest Spinks, Walter Spinks, Robert Jack Spinks and Joseph Spinks, Sr. and two sisters, Dorothy Glenn and Argean Reed. Mary departed this life April 7, 2016 at her home. Mary leaves to cherish her memory: one sister, Mattie Spinks and one brother, Hurt (Doris) Spinks, Jr. both of Toomsuba, MS; three brother-in.laws: Abraham Smith, Sr. and Lucius Scott, Sr. both of Toomsuba, MS and Tony Bell of Marion, MS; one special daughter. Jackie Allen and one grandson she raised as her own, Rodriekus Smith both of Toomsuba, MS; three stepdaughters: Sandra (Grendall) Ratcliff of Laurel, MS, Doritha Bryant of Toomsuba, MS and Sherron Smith of Meridian, MS; three stepsons: Vincent Mitchell of Montgomery, AL, Eugene Smith, Jr. of Toomsuba, MS and Antonio Smith of Russell, MS; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
