Mrs. Mary A. Williams' Obituary
Mary Alice Connie Williams was born on September 29, 1948 in Meridian, MS to the parentage of the late Jimmie Lee Short and Mary Louise Short, both preceded her in death. She was the third of four children.
Connie was educated in the Meridian Public School System.
Shortly after graduating high school, she married the love of her life, Willie E. Williams. She worked for many years at Broadmoor Nursing Home before retiring.
On March 16, 2021, in the comfort of her home, God's grace and peaceful angels came to take her from this earthly place. Connie heard and answered the call.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Edwynna Louise Wilson; her grandson: Hikeem Williams; and her granddaughter: Mahogany Rush.
She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves memories to be cherished by her four children: Theresa (James)
Glass, Detra Davis, Willie Williams, Jr., and Saundra (Donald) Crowder; one sister: Mildred Barrus: one brother: Israel Short; seven grandchildren: Talissia Short, Deandrea Gregory, Nicholas Miller, Kerry Williams, Keaired Griggs. KaTara Tillman, and KaDetra Williams: eleven great grandchildren: Lauren Elle, Laila Rae, Kerry Jr., Nakyah, JaQuavion, JaLaysia, Kadynn, Nathan, Nathaniel Jr., India and Malik; one uncle: Sonny; two dear friends: Ms. Mary and Ms. Emma, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
