Mrs. Mattie Lee Ford's Obituary
Mattie Lee Ford was born September 23, 1935 in Nanafalia, Alabama to the late George and Edna Johnson. Mattie Lee Ford transitioned from this life on Friday, November 3, 2017 at her home in T oomsuba, Mississippi. Mattie was united in marriage to Mr. Eddie Ford,Jr. She was a member of Word of Truth Apostolic Church. She was a woman of many gifts and talents. Mattie could tell rhyming poems at the spur of the moment. She never forgot her childhood speeches. Mattie was a fun person, and full of laughter. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. Mattie was a faithful member and Sunday School Teacher at Word of Truth. She loved children and most of all she loved God and His word. Mattie was an avid gardener and she loved fishing with her husband and sons. She loved nature and the beauty that it brought in every season. She had jokes and had very comical sayings. She leaves her sweet memories to be cherished by: her loving and caring husband, Eddie Ford,Jr.; five daughters, Linda Loyd (David D.), Phyllis Nwachukwu, Peggy Fanchet, Shelia Williams and Cassandra McShan; three sons, Willie G. Williams (Alice), Bishop Ronald J. Williams Qoish), Kirk Williams (Barbara); three step-children, Dorothy, Charles and Bennie L Ford; one brother, Willie F. Johnson; a special cousin, E1ouise Willliams; thirty (30) plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews; a special friend, Sis. Allan Lloyd Mattie was preceded in death by 7 siblings and her parents.
