Mrs. Mattie L. Hardy's Obituary
Mattie Lee Hardy was born January 15, 1929, to the late Sophia and Aaron Dorsey in Morengo County, AL. She departed this life on February 19, 2020.
With the little education she had, Mattie still maintained life with six children. She worked numerous jobs. After being employed by the Grahams for over ten years, she would later become a housekeeper at Anderson Hospital where she would retire after 20 plus years of service. After retirement, she still had an urge to work and that’s exactly what she did. She continued to work from home doing different projects for others.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Raydell Hardy, two sons, her mother, her father, a sister and brother.
Mattie leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters: Linda (John) Moore, Barbara (James) Jordan and Mary Hardy, all of Meridian; one son, Ollie (Shannon) Hardy of New Albany, IN; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
