Mattie lee Johnson Houston was born to the late lint Johnson and the late Ella Mae Griffin Naylor Johnson an March 25. 1848. She joined Mt. Cephus Primitive Baptist Church at an early age and dedicated her life in baptism under the leadership af the late Pastor C.L. Johnson. She graduated from Middleton School in 1969. Through hard work and determination. she continued her education at the Haven's Business College for clerical work She continued her endeavors by getting her nursing certification and working at Anderson Regional Hospital far several years. She then received her Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration at the University of Phoenix in She was united in holy matrimony an April 18. 1981 to Lozell Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lint and Ella Mae Johnson. two sisters: Bonnie J. Roberts and Mary Amerson. five brothers: lint Johnson Jr., Johnny Johnson, Sammy Johnson, Mack Henry Johnson and Henry James Johnson. She leaves ta cherish her memories. a devoted and laving husband lozell Houston of 37 years; two daughters: Brandy Thomas (Patrick) and Broaksley Larkin (Carlos): two suns: Darren (Shakeisha) Houston and Lionel Houston all of Meridian. MS; one step-daughter, Audria King of Georgia; one god-daughter, Tamisha McCaleb of Meridian. MS; and one step-son Samuel Smith af Forest MS. Mattie laved all of her grandchildren dearly: Rudasja (Rudy). Brandrick (Bao-Boa). Jabria. Treeana, Amiryan. JaKaylah (Kaylah), KeDarrien. Saniyaa. Bryce. Zorien, Carter. Mattison, Chance and KyZerrian. She also leaves ta cherish her memories. six sisters: Dora Naylor (William), Rosie Mclaughlin (Stanford). Jannie Grace. and Lala Culpepper all of Meridian, MS: Joanne Burton of Dekalb. MS. and Wanda Johnson of Stockbridge. GA: three brothers: Rev. T.C. (laura) Johnson.
