Sister Mattie Ruth Land of Meridian, MS was born to Deacon George and Sis. Rhoda Lacey of Waynesboro, MS February 18, 1955. She departed Lhis life on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at her home in Meridian, MS. She was born into The Pentecostal Church of God at a very young age where she was a Praying Woman. She continued steadfast in this Gospel until she departure this life. She is preceded in death by her father, Dea. George Lacey, two brothers: Dea. Bennie Lacey and Bro. Charles E. Lacey along with a host of Spiritual Brothers and Sisters of The Pentecostal Church of God. She leaves to cherish her memories; her loving and devoted children. One Daughter, Ms. Adrian (James) Land. Four sons, Willie James (Charlotte) Land, Jr. of Chicago, Il, Mr.Jeffery (Kawanna) Land of Flint MI, Mr. Lionel (Tameca Fluker) Land, and Ahmad (Sharde) Chambers of Tupelo, MS. She leaves 14 Grandchildren whom she dearly loved. She also leaves three brothers Gary (Terri) Lacy of Washington, D.C, David (Stacy) Lacey, and Lamont (Sherland) Lacey of Buckatunna, MS; Seven sisters, Gloria Ford Atlanta, Ga, Georgia Chambers, Betty (Elder Clyde) McGill, Alice Lacey of Buckalunna, MS, Stella (George) Bender of Laurel, MS, Gertha Williams and Felecia Lacey of Meridian, MS; Four aunts (Cainmie, Cassie, Eunice, Bertha, and Mary). A host of Nieces, Nephews, relatives, friends, and Her PCG-Church Family whom she loved dearly.
