Mr. Melvin C. Burge's Obituary
Mr. Melvin Charles Burge was born August 17, 1959 to the late Peter Burge and Hannah O'Hara. He was reared by the late Levelle Cole and Ora Chester Cole. At a young age, he dedicated his life to Christ at Antioch Baptist Church. For many years, Melvin worked as a construction laborer and painter for Yates Construction Company.
Melvin exhibited deep love and commitment to his family and friends.
He enjoyed gospel music, especially Lee Williams music, being with family and living life to the fullest.
Melvin leaves a lifetime of memories to be cherished by eight sisters, Orie Burge Heidelburg (Joseph) of Marion, MS, Rebecca Cole of Sand-flat, MS, Mary Crockett of Russell, MS, Ramona Granger (Anthony) of Russell, MS,

Young (Patrick) of Fayette-ville, GA, and Letha Moss Allen of Milwaukie, WI; three brothers, Jerry Cole and Willie Calhoun both of Meridian, MS and Robert Walk of Virginia Beach, VA; two aunts, Alberta Burge (D.W.) of Cleveland, OH and Vella Cole of Meridian, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
