Mr. Michael Jason Collins Sr.'s Obituary
Michael Jason Collins, Sr. was born on September 28, 1982 to Eugene Collins and Vanessa Boston Collins in Meridian, MS. Mike was educated in Meridian Public School System and graduate from Meridian High School class of 2001. While attending MPSD, he was an awesome athlete playing multiple sports. Jfhe played it; he excelled in it. Coaches called him a "natural". He has numerous trophies and medals that he earned playing soccer, baseball, and track and field. He attended EMCC on a soccer scholarship. After his first born child, Mike left school to be a father. He was proud of being a father. Mike met LaDaisha Holder in 2014 and they would later be married April 25, 2016. To this union was born Amariyah and Michael, Jr. A week before Mike transitioned, they were told there 's another in the oven. Mike said "it's a girl"! In 2013 Mike 's health began to fail him. Mike fought a long battle but would succumb to a ruptured aneurysm. Mike is at peace without the hurt and pain. Mike was a man with many layers. He was a dedicated friend, who would make you laugh, cry, would listen or talk he would even preach when necessary. If you really knew Mike , you knew that he had a fervent desire to have a relationship with all of his children. Yahweh granted him his petition. Mike was a courageous warrior. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Collins, Sr. Michael leaves to honor, his legacy and cherish his memory; wife Ladaisha Holder Collins eight children, Amiyah Collins. Kameron Johnson, Jordan Collins, Makiyah and MaKenna (twins) Caleb Griffin, Amariyah and Michael Jr. His father Eugene Collins Jr., mother Vanessa Boston Collins, brother, Roderick Miguel, sisters, Kimberly Collins and Stephanie Pearson, grandmothers, Earline Davis and Bernice Collins. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins some of which he grew up with and was very · close, too numerous to name. There are many loved ones and friends that he leaves behind to cherish his memory.
