Mr. Michael "Soul" Jenkins' Obituary
Michael Jenkins was born on February 23, 1964 in Meridian, MS. He grew up in a warm and loving environment. Michael was a friendly, respectful and compassionate man. Michael was kind and generous, helping others whenever possible. Many of you may not be aware that Michael was a very talented artist. He worked in water colors, as well as finely drawn pencil work. Michael attended Meridian Public Schools and graduated from Meridian High School with the class of 1982. He was a stand out basketball player while attending high school and loved all sports, particularly the Baltimore Ravens. In the peak of his life, Michael loved cherry lollipops, and watching classic westerns on televsion. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Jenkins, and sisters Patricia and Carol. Leaving to cherish his memories are his daughter Sharee Burrage; brothers Carl Jenkins, John Wayne Webster, Ray Brown, Willie Brown, and Ronald Brown; a sister Ida Marie Jenkins; nephews Christopher Dominic Jenkins and Alexander Jenkins; nieces Monica Brown and Carla Jenkins; one aunt Christel Bush; a sister by love Seveda Williams; plus a host of loyal friends and classmates.
