Mr. Michael Floyd Milton, Sr.'s Obituary
Michael Floyd Milton, Sr. was born in Newton, Mississippi to Joyce Ann Fielder-Milton and the late Issac "Pop" Milton, Sr. on September 23, 1964. Michael graduated from Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Mississippi in 1983. He attended Meridian Jr. College in Meridian, Mississippi on a full basketball scholarship. He later in listed in the U.S. Air force, where he met and married Yolanda McDade Milton. To this union three sons were born. Michael was promoted to Sgt. And served until 1991. Michael was a beautiful man, kind-hearted, loving, generous, and oh so funny. He loved life and was always in the pursuit of happiness. He loved his family and friends and never met a stranger. If he knew you for a day, you became his friend for a lifetime. Michael's friends were global, and he stayed in contact with them throughout his life. Michael was a good Samaritan who always visited the sick and shut-in. He loved his late father, Issac "Pop", who taught him everything about being a man. He loved and adored his mother, Joyce, and his affection for her never went unnoticed. He looked up to his big brother, Bruce, and was always amazed at all the things he'd accomplished and continued to accomplish. He loved his little sister, Tina, who he called his "pretty girl" every time he saw her. Mostly, Michael loved and adored his three sons and was grateful for their mother, Yalonda. He was the proudest father anyone could have known or had. They brought him the most joy in his life. There wasn't a school function, a practice, a game, a dedication or graduation he didn't try his best to attend. He was so proud of the young men they turned out to be, and even more proud to be their dad. Even if you didn't know Michael, if you were to have a conversation with him, I'm sure he would have told you about his sons; Michael Jr., the engineer, Matthew, the football player, and Elijah, his little genius. This is how he always described them to anyone who would listen. I'm sure he is smiling upon them today as we lay him to rest. Michael departed this life on Friday, March 18, 2017 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. God saw the road getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. He gently closed his loving eyes and whispered, "my child peace be thine." Michael leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother, Joyce Ann Fielder Milton and Isaac (Pop) Milton who preceded him in death. Three Sons; Michael Floyd Milton, Jr. (JaKelle) of Panama City, Florida, Matthew Danzel Milton and Elijah James Milton both of Belleville, Illinois. One Brother, Isaac Bruce Milton Jr. of Chunky, Mississippi; One Sister, Tina Louise Milton-Moore (Kevin) of Jackson, Mississippi. Four Nephews; Shaun, Isaac, Dearis and Jordan. Three Nieces; Jessica, Jerrica, Jabrea. One Great Nephew, and Two Great Nieces; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
