Mr. Michael Duane Sears' Obituary
Mr. Michael Duane Sears, age 53, departed this life on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Quitman, MS after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Sears was born in Meridian, MS on July 4, 1961 to Mr. Joe Sears and Ms. Hattie Durr-Sears. He was a 1979 graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School. He won the hearts of the community and became known as “The Jack of All Trades” by doing what he loved, construction work and his passion, mechanics. During his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, working in his garden, and making people laugh. In 2009, Michael redidicated his life to Christ and became a faithful member of East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Toomsuba, MS. Michael united in holy matrimony with Ms. Beverly Lockett on July 11, 2010. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife, Mrs. Beverly Lockett Sears of Meridian, MS; his mother, Ms. Hattie Sears of Toomsuba, MS; his father and step-mother, Mr. Joe and Mrs. Dorothy Sears of Toomsuba, MS; his 13 children; son-in-law; grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many friends that he loved dearly.
