Mr. Michael Thompson's Obituary
Michael Thompson was born November 11, 1961 to Dessie Thompson and the late Marshall Thompson. Michael's earthly journey ended on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Anderson's Regional Medical Center. Michael joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Michael married Ann Ivy on November 29, 2009. Together they spread their love and abundance among five children. Michael attended Choctaw County Schools. He was employed with McDevitt Enterprise. Michael loved fishing and welding. His biggest passion were his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Thompson; paternal father, WJ (Mary Lee) James; four brothers, George Barnwell, Roy Lee Levell, Marshall Thompson, Jr., and Tyrone James. Michael leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Georgia Ann Thompson; four daughters: Kimkeshia, of Montgomery, AL; Leslie Renee Ruffin, Cacheta Ivy, and Vernell Ivy, all of Meridian, MS; four sons: Sanyareca (Tiffany) Ivy, Patrick Chaney, Willie Ivy, and Lakendric Ivy, all of.Meridian, MS; twenty-three grandchildren; his mother, Dessie Thompson; four sisters: Patricia Thompson and Deborah Ann Thompson, both of Butler, AL; Daphine (Gulley) James and Marquita James, both of -Cleveland, OH; six brothers: Herman Thompson and Roosevelt Thompson, both of Lisman, AL; Toney James, WC James, Ken James, and Archie (Tonya) James, all of Cleveland, OH; mother-in-law, Minnie Pearl Ivy; a very special friend, Ronald McDevitt; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
