Mr. Milton Grady Jr.'s Obituary
Milton “Pookie” Grady Jr. was born on December 11, 1964 to the late Milton and Pauline Grady in Meridian, MS.
Milton confessed Christ early in life and united with New Salem Baptist Church in Whynot, Mississippi.
He was a graduate Class of 1982 from Meridian High School.
Milton enjoyed cooking and being with his family and friends.
He was employed with the Morrison Cafeteria until they closed, later moved on to Barnhill restaurant and became manager until they closed. His passion for cooking didn’t stop there. He found a spot in Kem’s restaurant cooking and catering until his health failed.
He departed this life on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Oschner Rush Health Hospital in Meridian, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Pauline Grady; paternal grandparents, Wallace and Annette Grady; maternal grandparents, James T and Cynthia Nettles; two sisters: Jacqueline Larkin and Betty Jean Phillips; one brother, Marvin Grady.
Milton leaves to cherish his loving memories: four brothers: James (Dorothy) Grady, Joe (Georgia) Grady, Derella LaShawn Grady, all of Meridian, MS; and Kreston Grady of Jacksonville, FL; four sisters: Juanita Grady of Birmingham, AL; Edna Hunt of Kemper, MS; Giovonni (the late Robert) Jenkins of Meridian, MS; and Cynthia B. Grady of Batesville, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, and dear friends.
