Mitchel Howard was a good man, loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a dear friend and co-worker. He loved his work and had a deep love for his fellow human beings.. He was a great American. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Condolence to the Family of Mitchell Howard, Jr.
Mitchell and I both had shared careers with USDA-FmHA (Now known as USDA-RD). Mitchell, was highly dedicated and respected among his peers during his career with FmHA. He was among the first African American’s promoted to head an FmHA county office as County FmHA Supervisor in Mississippi during the early 1970’s.
He touched so many lives with his faith and kindness in administering USDA-FmHA lending programs to promote economic development throughout Lauderdale County. I am very grateful to had the opportunity to know him as a co-worker, friend, and mentor.
Well done! Mitchell, may you rest in peace and eternity with our God and Heavenly Father.
