Mr. Mondarius De'Mone Trotter's Obituary
Mondarius De’Mone Trotter, affectionately known as Fat by most and Mondo by other, was born on January 30, 1996, to Marvin and Sheila Trotter of Pachuta, Mississippi. He was the youngest of two boys born to this union. At the tender age of 5, his father passed away. After his dad’s passing, both Shelia and Marvin’s families rallied around them, including but not limited to: his beloved grandmother, Lexie Trotter; his aunt, Ann Logan, his aunt and God-mother, Diane Anderson; his aunt, Tina Hall; his cousins: Tywan Land and Shacarey Chapman, and his childhood mentor, Issac Taylor.
Mondarius accepted Christ into his life by being baptized and becoming a member of John the Baptist Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the usher board and music ministry playing the drums. He received his education in the Quitman Public School District. While at Quitman High School, he was a multi-sport athlete and scholar. He maintained a 3.0 GPA while playing starting positions on varsity football, baseball, and basketball teams and running both track and cross-country. Upon graduation, he made the decision to join the United States Air Force. Mondarius ultimately attained the rank of Senior Airman E-4. While serving his country, he decided to pursue a four year college degree. He began his journey at Mississippi State University and later transferred to Alcorn State University. In 2018, he became a member of the Gibraltor Lodge #471 in Barnett, MS of the Free and Accepted Masons. He also became a member of his beloved fraternity, the Delta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., in the Spring of 2019.
Before his ultimately death, Mondarius was completing his long-standing internship with Cargill Inc. This would have placed him in a position to enter his final semester at Alcorn State University to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science.
Although Mondarius’s life was cut short, he achieved a multitude of accomplishments and touched countless lives. To know “Fat” was to love him. He met no strangers and made all in his presence family. He went above and beyond for family, friends, acquaintances, and even strangers. He had the ability to light up any room. His beautiful smile and charming personality will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his mother and step-father, David and Shelia Wilson; his paternal grandmother: Lexie Trotter ; his brother: Marlon (Jamara) Trotter; step-brother: David “Dee” Wilson; step-sister: Brittany Wilson; nephews: JaCari Mosley, Christian Wilson, Noah Matthews, and Ethan Trotter; niece: BriOnni Brazil; childhood friend/brother: Travarius Moore; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, fraternity brothers, and friends.
