Mr. Nathan Smith's Obituary
Nathan Smith was born on February 7, 1960 to the late Virgil and Ida Mae Smith in Meridian, Mississippi. Nate, as he was affectionately known was employed with Quality Inn of Meridian for three years. For over thirty years, he was a valued employee of the Meridian Housing. Authority before his retirement on May 31, 2021. His most joyous time was being with his children, grandchildren, and hanging out with his two best friends, Roderick Stennis and Lester Evans. And lets not forget his "Miller Lite!" Nate went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Katrina Smith; his children: Sederia Smith of Meridian, MS, DeShundrae Johnson of Atlanta, GA, DeNathan Smith, Natesha Smith, Nataria Hill, Shiquita Hill, Brittany Hill, Te'Asia Hill and Tynesha Hill all of Meridian, MS; two brothers: Ralph Smith of Springfield, MA, and Anthony (Bee) Smith of Wetumpka, AL; twenty-two grandchildren, five nieces, one nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Nate will be welcomed home by those who preceded him in· death; his parents: Virgil and Ida Mac Smith; two sisters: Betty Temple and Shevie Smith Jarvis; two nephews: Joseph Smith and Rolando Smith, and his best friend/brother: Roderick Stennis. Nate, your family loves you and will miss you dearly in so many ways.
