Mrs. Needa Price Harris' Obituary
On September 14, 1938, in Enterprise, Mississippi, a daughter, Needa Mae, was born to Lillie Thompson Price and the late Johnnie Price. Needa was educated in Meridian, Mississippi, where she attended T. J. Harris High School. In 1956, she was united in holy matrimony to Tommy L. Davis. To this union, a daughter, her loving and dutiful caretaker, Debra, was born. She later married Adolph Harris in 1986. She worked in manufacturing for Burnley Shirt Factory and Publix Meridian for 21 years and later retired from Avery Dennison in 1999, where she worked as a quality control inspector. "Grandma Needa" loved children and served as a Foster Grandparent until her health failed. She also sang with the Sweet Spirits Inspirational Choir originating at St. Paul United. Methodist Church and traveled throughout the State of Mississippi and the United States rendering God's message through music and song. Needa, a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin, passed from this life into eternal life, on March 16, 2013 from Infinity Hospice. Her father, Johnnie, brothers, Lawrence, WC. ("Doug"), and L.T. Price preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her unconditional love; a devoted daughter, Debra Jackson and her husband David; her loving mother, Lillie; three sisters, Ora Turner of Lawrenceville, GA; Louise Earl and her husband Aaron of Hammond, IN; Sylvia Carter and her husband Arthur of Meridian; a brother John O. Price and his wife Annell of Panama City FL; two grandchildren: Dayna Wooten and Curtis A. ("Al") Wooten; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
