Mrs. Nemarion Darden's Obituary
Mrs. Nemarion Darden was born May 9, 1925 in Lauderdale county to the late Marion & Fannie Harvey. Mrs. Darden confessed hope in Christ at an early age and united with Antioch Baptist Church of Daleville, Mississippi. Mrs. Darden later joined her husband and became a member of New St. Mathew Methodist Church. Mrs. Darden was a long time employee of Riley’s Hospital and Matty Hersey Hospital from where she later retired.
In 1948, Nemarion & Arthur Darden were united in holy matrimony and to this union nine (9) children were born.
Mrs. Darden departed this life Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center, in Meridian, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Darden, daughter, Rosie Lee Darden, parents, Marion & Frances Harvey, two (2) brothers, Deatrius Harvey and Rev. Charles Harvey, three (3) sisters, Rosie Mae Bogan, Georgia Mae Jackson, and Annie Lee Hopkins.
Nemerion leaves to cherish her memories, seven (7) daughters: Marie McDonald (Arthur Lee, deceased) of Collinsville, MS, Alice Lewis (Nathaniel), Eloise McQuarters (Byron) both of Meridian, MS, Katherine Quinn of Chicago, IL, Cloria Hampton (Earnest, deceased), Genevia Johnson (Larry) and Dorothea Bentley all of Bailey, MS. One (1) son, Alford Darden (Ruby) of Bailey, MS. Eighteen (18) grandchildren, twenty-five (25) great grandchildren, One (1) surviving sister and brother, Bessie Kay Hopkins of Meridian, MS and Joe Willie Harvey (Effie) of Pickerington, OH. Two (2) sisters-in-law, Edna Clark and Lottie Darden both of Bailey, MS, a son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Lamar Jenkins & Deloris Darden both of Meridian, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
