Mr. Obie T. McWilliams' Obituary
Obie T. McWilliams passed beyond the shadows into the light on July 20, 2014 at his residence in Meridian, Mississippi. He was born December 24, 1937 in Kemper County to the late Savannah and Izella Mc Williams. Obie was the youngest of five children. He attended Lebanon Vocational High School where he met and later married Jessie Mae Lewis. Eight children-were born to this union. Obie was employed by the Lauderdale County School System before he became disabled. Fishing was his favorite pastime activity. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Fannie B. McWilliams; two brothers, Howard McWilliams and Gene McWilliams; two sons, Fredrick Lewis McWilliams and Felix Marsay McWilliams; and his ex-wife, Jessie Mae McWilliams. He· leaves to cherish his memories three daughters; Sandra Grady(Wallace)of Shucktown, MS, Glenda F. Roberts (James)of Meridian, MS, Debra Bibbs (Clifford) of Starkville, MS; three sons, George P. Mc Williams of Meridian, MS, Obie T. Mc Williams, Jr. (Woodrena) of Meridian, MS, and Edward Mc Williams of Collinsville, MS; one sister, Rosie Lee Nelson of California. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
