Mrs. Ollie Grant Johnson's Obituary
Ollie Louise Grant Johnson was born on April 29, 1927 in Lauderdale County Mississippi to the late Burt Grant and Leavada McCoy. She transcended from her earthly dwelling to her eternal home on February 24, 2022. She was the only remaining survivor of her nine siblings.
Ollie Louise accepted Christ at an early age with the Oak Grove Baptist Church on Pine Springs Road.
She united in holy matrimony to the late Willie Johnson and to this union three children were born.
Ollie Louise relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio and lived there for many years. There, she married the late Rev. George Johnson.
She served God with gladness, singing and playing the piano. After many years, she returned to her roots of Meridian, MS. She united with Galilee Baptist Church and later united with Fairview MB Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter: Willie Mae Johnson Rackley of Meridian, MS; one son: Charles E. Johnson, Sr. (Tammie) of Victorville, CA; a special nephew: Charles D. Parks (Dorothy) of Cincinnati, OH, who was raised with her children; and a host of grand-children, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and Christian friends.
She is also survived by her great niece: Jeri Stell and her great nephew:
Erik Williams both of Meridian, MS.
Ollie was preceded in death by her daughter, Bobbie L. Hill, two grand-children, Rhonda M. Hill and Charles E. Johnson, Jr., siblings: Curtis Grant, Elouise Grant, Eugene Grant, LC Grant, Perry Grant, George Kinard, Mary Jean Kinard, LV Kinard, and Laretha Gordon; and her devoted niece, Arnetta Williams Blanks.
