Mrs. Ora Lee Cole's Obituary
Ora Lee Woodard Smith-Cole was born on May 31, 1938 to Daisy and Spenser Woodard in Choctaw County, Alabama.
At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior. She became a faithful member of St. Paul Baptist Church. Ora Lee was a woman of faith who loved the Lord. She loved helping others, always doing anything she could for anyone.
After retirement, she enjoyed doing things she loved. Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren.
Ora Lee united in holy matrimony to David Cole, Jr. whom she shared many years with until his passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Cole, Jr., son, Le Wayne Smith, grandson, Lewis Smith, sisters, Ethel Coleman, Irene Lloyd, and Johnnie Maye Dixon, her brothers, Essau Woodard and Joe Louis Woodard; and her brothers-in-law, George Raye and Jimmy Smith.
Ora Lee made her heavenly transition on Saturday, October 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Ora Lee will be truly missed by her daughters, Angela loung, Shelia Mosley (James), Lillie Etheridge, and Elaine Smith; her brother, Collie Woodard (Walterine); her sisters, Ura Dee Raye and Mary Smith; her loving grandchildren, Shaquita Smith, Bruce Etheridge, Daysha Andrews (Connor), Myea Young, Kaleb Smith, Kierra Smith, Patrick Smith, and Terrance Doss; great-grandchildren, Michael Boyd, Jaquaris Harbour, Errin Russell, Jaidyn Johnson, Zachery Etheridge and Rodrique Smith. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
