Mr. Otis Charles "Red" Bland was born on April 15, 1948 to the union of Otis and Ruth Bland. At an early age, he joined Little Zion United Methodist Church in Quitman, Mississippi. Later in life, he relocated to Sacramento, California with his sister, Minnie Pearl Reid Otis was preceded in death by his father Otis Bland, one sister, Minnie Pearl Reid, and one brother, Jessie Earl Bland He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters: Natasha Townsend, Ontrall (Perry) Summerville, and Jennifer (Lee) Weary; two sons: Joseph Bland and Antonio (Anita) Bland; three granddaughters: Destiny Weary, Melissa Bland and Alisa Bland; his loving mother: Ruth Bland; two brothers: C. L. (Sherry) Bland and Edward Bland; one sister: Bettye Kidd; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
