Mr. Parker Lee Thedford's Obituary
Parker Lee Thedford was born in Lauderdale County, Mississippi on January 26, 1945 to the late Exie Shumate and George Washington Thedford. Parker was educated in the Meridian Public School System. He worked for the City of Meridian, Dickie Clay before becoming a valued employee of Atlas Roofing Company where he retired after 30 plus years of service. Parker was a certified mechanic and he loved what he did. He helped so many with the gifts that God gave him, never taking advantage of people. He loved spending time with his family. If he said he was going to help in any way, he was always there. He favorite pastimes were gardening, working on o!der cars and watching the wrestling channel. He was a sweet, kind, giving man who'd give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He will surely be missed by all. He didn't ask for much, he just wanted to give! Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife Sandra Boyd Thedford; his children: Lavern (Marcia) Thedford, Raymond Thedford, Kimberly Thedford, Jeffery Boyd, Terrance Boyd, Gerald Jennings and Freddie· Miller; sister: Marie Havis; brother: Rev. L. C. Thedford; two loyal and devoted nieces: Sheilisa Grace and Barbara Atterberry; one brother-in-law: Tyrone Matthews and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Lynn Thedford, and two sisters: Bertha Thedford and Asalean Thedford.
