Pinkie Hicks was born November 12, 1931 to the late Pearl Brown and Ruby Williams.
She was born and raised in Meridian, MS where she resided all her life. being a loving and praying mother made her a strong believer in the Lord. No matter what, she loved her family dearly. She married johnny Hicks in the early 80s and gave her life over to Christ where she joined Truevine Holiness Church. There she served faithfully. She was very family oriented and strongly believed in peace, love, and happiness. She always had a good word of advice to give whenever you sat and talked with her. Pinkie Hicks, you will surely be missed.
On Friday, June 2, 2017, God called his angel Pinkie home. She was preceded in death by her mother: Pearl Brown and father, Ruby Williams; siblings: Ruby Williams, Fred Williams, TL Williams, Helen Williams, Lena Pearl Williams, Jessie Lee Young, Mary Kate Hunt; and great-grandson, Johnerio “Mohead” Blakney. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Johnny Hicks; sister, Cornelius Williams; daughters: Loretta Dennis, Barbara Williams, and Jessie P. Blakney; sons: Robert Lee Dennis, Willie Ray Dennis, Jerry Wayne Griffen, Joe “Boy Griffen”, and James “Baby Boy Griffen”; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. If anyone was missed, please know she loved us all.
