Mrs. Rennie Mae Cole's Obituary
Mrs. Rennie Mae Sprivey Cole was born January 10, 1936 in Lauderdale County to Hester Mae Burns Sprivey and George Avery. She joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lockhart at the age of seven. Mrs. Cole united with Tabernacle Church of God in 1954 under Brother I.R. Crockett. At Tabernacle, Mrs. Cole was a member of the Trustees and a Sunday School Teacher. She also served in the Women of the Church of God in the following positions: Secretary, Historian, President, and State Stewardship. She was a member of Daleville Fire Station and Secretary-Treasurer of Daleville Community Cemetery. She worked as a Headstart Teachers Aide and as a Nurse Aide at Meridian Nursing Center. She was united in marriage to Roscoe Cole on Saturday, October 13, 1951. To this union was born nine children: Authorine Cole, Lee A. Cole, Christine WIison (Timothy), Alvin R. Cole, Lou V. Cole (Joan), Mark W. Cole (Lynn), Mahalia A. Cole, Paula J. Cole and Hester A. Cole. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by: mother, Hester Mae Sprivey Cole, stepfather, Robert Cole, Jr., father George Avery, husband Roscoe Cole, son Alvin Roscoe Cole, sister Katie George Clinton and brothers Walter L. Sprivey and Lopez Sprivey. She is survived by eight children, 14 grand children, ·13 great grandchildren, three sisters, Peggy J. Ruffin, :Milwaukee, WI; Gloria Osborn (Robert), Ellenwood, GA,; and Darlene Davis Ooseph), Cleveland Heights, OH; and brother, 'Clifton E. Sprivey, St. Louis, MO; and many nieces, nephews and .cousins.
