Mr. Richard Lee Bender's Obituary
Mr. Richard Lee Bender was born to the late Otho & Mae Bell bender on July 19, 1956. He was the sixth child of twelve children. On April 10, 2019, he was called home to his Heavenly Father. He was a Widower, who accepted Christ at an early age at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Richard graduated from Meridian High School and was awarded a football scholarship to the University of Denver, Colorado, where he transferred and played out his football scholarship with Mississippi State University in StarkVile, MS. A Mississippi State University Alumni, who married his high school sweetheart, where he provided for his wife by working at General Motors as an Assembler Worker. Richard loved playing football, dancing, and fixing on cars, but most of all, he loved fishing. Richard was a kind, loving , and generous man who loved his family and friends and never met a stranger, and through his faith in God, was seen as a mentor to many who knew him.
