Mr. Richard Kennedy was born on November 19, 1961 to the late Jrunes Kennedy and the late Ida Mae Home Kennedy in Meridian, MS. Richard Kennedy departed this life Thursday, January 28, 2021 in Laird Medical Center in Winona, MS. Richard was the third of five children. Richard, "Gooey" as he was affectionately known, attended Northeast High School. At an early age he was raised in the Alpha and Omega Holiness Church of God of the Apostolic Faith Toomsuba, MS, formerly known as Bright Light Holiness Church. Richard was an easy going man. Richard leaves to cherish his loving memories his companion of 22 years, Lois Kelly ofToomsuba, MS; one daughter, Ashley Walker and one son, Damario Trussell both of Atlanta, GA; other children: Ashley (Jarvis) Warren, Jayla Kelly and Jaquez Kelly all of Dallas, TX; Felicia Kelly (friend Timothy), Kei Kelly and Raymond Kelly (friend Trina) all of Meridian, MS; and eleven grandchildren. He also leaves his siblings to cherish his memories: Terry Easter of Montgomery, Al; Geraldine (Michael) Rufus of Hartford, CT; Patricia (Jeffery) Benoman, Walter Kennedy, Jessica Kennedy and Jrunes Kennedy all of Toomsuba, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
