Mr. Richard DeWayne McClendon's Obituary
Mr. Richard DeWayne McClendon (Wayne) was born May 12, 1964 to the late Johnny "Travis' McClendon and Bessie Burton Townsend. Richard accepted Christ into his life at a young age. While growing up he assisted in the upbringing of his nieces and nephews. He was a funny, loving, joyful and peaceful person that grew into a caring son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and true friend. He is truly loved and will be dearly missed. Richard leaves to cherish his memories 4 children: Ms Rekeea Purnell, Quadrekus Purnell, Laderrick Purnell and Shemakia Hersey all of Meridian, MS. Nine Grandchildren, Eight Sisters; Ms Debra Graham, Meridian, MS; Mrs. Peggy (Anthony) Sparks, Terri Burton, Angela Townsend of Columbus, Georgia. Mrs. Rose Hubbard, Hattiesburg, MS; Mrs. Minnie McGowan and Ms Dorothy Jones both of Gulfport MS; Five brothers; David (Mary) McClendon Meridian, MS; Raymond (Martisene) McClendon,. Memphis Tennessee; Joe Townsend, Madison, Wisconsin; Samuel McClendon, Gulfport, MS; Robert McClendon, California and a host of Nieces and Nephews. He also leaves to cherish his memories a very special friend Ms. Kathie Pigford of Meridian, MS. He is preceded in death by both parents, Two brothers, Two Sisters and one Nephew.
