Richard Strickland, Jr. was born September 23, 1936 to the later Richard Sr and Randella Strickland, Meridian, Ms In the early years of his life he moved to St Louis, Missouri where he worked with the City of St. Louis for 10 years. Afterward he moved to New Brunswick, NJ. Where he later retired, and live with his sister Lucille. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters,three brothers. one niece. He leaves to cherish his memories: three sisters Mary Cobb, Lucille (Marvin)Sanders, Katie(Lawrence Sr) Brown all of Quitma, MS; A special niece Kimberly Jonas, Somerset, NJ; A special friend Nancy Benjamin, New Brunswick, NJ; one aunt Gertrude Bailey; Pachuta, MS; Three Uncles: Richard Plummer Jr, Pachuta, MS; Leo Plummer Madison, WS; Charles Plummer, Battle Creek, Ml; A special cousin Earl Lee Dyess Las Vegas, NV; and a Host of nieces, nephews cousins, and other relatives and friends. "Thy power alone can break, the fetters that en-chain the sorely-stricken soul of life, and make it live again. Come, as thou didst of old. In love so great that we shall cast aside all other gods, and turn again to thee. O living Christ who still dost all our burdens share, come now and dwell with-in the hearts of people everywhere! Amen."
