Mr. Ricky Arnaz Dancy's Obituary
Born in Chicago Illinois on February 27, 1969 Ricky Arnaz Dancy was the oldest of Willie James Dancy and Ethel Carter Dancy 's two children.. He grew up in the Meridian community along with his sister LaTonya. At an early age Ricky's walk with Christ began at Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church in Meridian where he remained a faithful member most of his life. Ricky was educated in the Meridian Public School District graduating in 1989 from Meridian High School. Ricky went by many titles in the Meridian community. He was best known as "The Country Club Man", "The TV Station Man" and "The Casket Man. At an early age Ricky began his employment journey at Northwood Country Club, but it was WTOK TV in Meridian where his career would span almost 20 years. It doesn 't stop there, he would then go on to open his own Casket Business, RD Direct Casket Sales providing the community with affordable caskets. Ricky was preceded in death by his father Willie J. Dancy and his mother Ethel M Dancy. Ricky's sister LaTonya Dancy, who resides in Meridian cared for her brother faithfully until God called him home September 3, 2020. Ricky's legacy does not end here. It continues in his son Jared Grady of Fort Bragg North Carolina, daughter-in-law Morgan Grady one granddaughter Nora Grady and one grandson Brodee Grady all of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Two aunts the. Delois King of Chicago Illinois and Elizabeth Jones of Meridian MS. Three uncles Eugene Carter, Jr., Albert Dancy and George Dancy all of Meridian, MS and a host o cousins and friends.
