My father, our relationship really began when I reached adulthood, and we did our best to build a bond and make up for the time we lost. You were able to meet your oldest grandchildren, and they loved you unconditionally. You knew my heart and where we stood with each other.
I’m sorry we were so far away and didn’t have the mental or physical strength to attend your homegoing. Please know that you were loved deeply.
