Mr. Robert Wayne "Scooter" Johnson's Obituary
ROBERT WAYNE JOHNSON was born on April 8, 1966 to the union of Robert and Mildred Johnson in Meridian, Mississippi. He was known by everyone as "Scooter". WAYNE grew up in church. He attended church with his family at Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, Meridian, Mississippi. When he was older, he started attending Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and united in fellowship with the Mount Olive Church family. HE was educated in the Meridian Public School System. After graduating, he relocated to Franklin, Louisiana and worked with his Uncle Lexi and Cousin Bobby at the Sonic Drive Inn for two years before returning to Meridian, Mississippi. He worked in several capacities for different companies. He was also well known for detailing cars in his spare time. His last employment was with Tower Automotive. ROBERT WAYNE had a genuine love for people and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He had a special love for his family, and spent quality time with his wife and daughter. He loved life and loved happiness and laughter. His aim was to keep a smile on the faces of those dear to him by his witty jokes, action and comments. ROBERT WAYNE made his transition into eternity on January 9, 2018. We praise God for the time he gave us to love and hold Robert, and we know that GOD is a God of comfort always, and will hold and keep us come what may. Robert will be deeply missed. HE leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, La Toya Johnson of Meridian, Mississippi; one daughter, Makayla Olivia Johnson of Meridian, Mississippi; four sons, James Spain, Monte Wade, Zack Ball and Lakendrick Deloach; Loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Mildred "Polly") Johnson of Meridian, Mississippi; one sister, Opal "Cookie" Miller of Meridian, Mississippi; one brother, Clifton (Keisha) Johnson of Conyers, Georgia; one step-son, Zacchaeus Smith of Meridian, MS; nine grandchildren, one nephew, three nieces, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
