Mr. Ronald G. Brassfield's Obituary
Ronald Glenn Brassfield, known as “Bubba”, was born. June 16, 1960, in Meridian, MS to the late Sandy and Eliza Brassfield.
Bubba graduated from Meridian High School in the year of 1978. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. He took his Basic Combat Training at Ft. Jackson, SC and Advanced individual training at Ft. Gordon, GA. He went on to serve as a Radio Teletype Operator until his term of service needed in 1981. During his free time, Bubba engaged in several civic duties. He was an active member of many organizations: Men For Change, Tomorrow’s Father and Coalition for Change. He was also a long-term member of the Ancient Egyptian Order. Bubba was well known for his vast entrepreneurship skills. He created opportunities for himself and others from his moving company, car wash, convenient stores, and night clubs as the self-proclaimed DJ Rob Brass.
Bubba was a beloved father, brother, cousin, and everyone’s uncle. He is preceded by; his father, sandy Brassfield; mother, Elizabeth Brassfield; sisters: Beaulah Brassfield-Williams, Betty Brassfield-Palmer; brother, D’Wayne Brassfield; uncles, Charlie Menice and Morris Robertson; aunt, Ollie Brassfield; nephew, Mark Rand; SP4 Artimus Brassfield; great nephew, Robert Eugene Bolden Jr.; and special cousin, William “Bubba” Farmer.
He leaves to cherish his sweet memories: children: Sharonda Evans, Jeffrey Hearn, Rondricus Graham, Jermell May, Bryson May, D’landrion (Santana) Brown, Jaiashunda Graham, Jacaleb Harris, and Rondasha Brassfield; three sisters: Johanna Carrigan, Sandra A. Williams, and Karen G. Williams; twin brothers: Gary (Sandra Faye) Brassfield and Cary Brassfield; his special friend, Jacqueline Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who loved him dearly.
