Roosevelt “Bill” Gordon was born February 21, 1924 in Lauderdale, MS to the late William Gordon and the late Lou McDonald Gordon.
Roosevelt accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and united with Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Lauderdale, MS.
He departed this life on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Queen City Nursing Facility.
Surviving his departure with cherished memories are his children, Hallie Gaddis, Meridian, MS; Mary Gowdy, Lauderdale, MS; William (Debra) Gordon, Chicago, IL; Charles Smith, Sandra Smith, Larry Gordon, Mary Smith, Johnnie Ree Gordon, Bennie Gordon, Audrey Moss and Darron Gordon, all of Meridian, MS; and Ann Lard, Atlanta, GA; twenty four grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
