Mrs. Rosie White's Obituary
Rosie Lee Russell White began her earthly journey on November 24, 1925 with Albert Leroy Russell and Myrtle Ivy as her parents. She attended school at Good Hope Methodist Church School and Weschler School.
She united in holy matrimony with Robert White and remained a loving and devoted wife until his death.
Rosie was a seamstress for many years. This is something she loved to do. She also assisted and nurtured students with special needs as a foster grandparent for over 20 years. Her last assignment as a foster grandparent was at Carver Middle School.
At a yong age, Rosie joined Good Hope Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Russell, MS. Later in life, she became a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Meridian, MS where she was very active. At St. Paul, she was a member of the adult Sunday School class, served as chairperson of the communion stewards for several years, and was a member of the United Methodist Women for many years. Rosie loved St. Paul Church and was a faithful member until her health failed.
On Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Anderson Regional Medical Center, Rosie made her eternal transition. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Maurice Hudson.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; a special niece, Marie Hudson Stapleton Kelly; four sisters, Alice Riley, Grace Thomas, Elinore Hersey, and Doris Celestine; a special cousin, Annie Grace Russell Speller; longtime neighbor, Lucinda Houston; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, church members, and friends.
