Mrs. Rosie L. Willis' Obituary
Mother Rosie L. Willis was born May 20, 1931 to the late Genie Cole and the late Sarah Ann Carlisle Cole. Mother Willis departed this life Wednesday, January 5, 2021 at Anderson Regional Medical Center Meridian, MS. Mother Willis was joined into holy matrimony to J. L. Willis on October 21, 1957. Mother Willis worked as a domestic worker. The love she had for others caused her to do mission work in the community and in hospitals. She did not have any children; but she had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and employer's children that she helped to raise and loved dearly Mother Willis was a faithful member of Alpha and Omega Holiness Church Toomsuba, MS for almost 45 years under the leadership of Apostle Freddie Ford, Sr. She was a licensed elder and teacher. She also held the office of Usher Board President and church mother. Preceding Mother Willis in death was her father, mother, and her siblings: Mildred Channey, Daisy Molphus, Gladys Heam, Willie Cole, J. C. Cole, Sam Cole, J. T. Cole, Johnny Lee Cole and Jim Cole. Mother Willis leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband: J. L. Willis and one loving sister: Sara Jane Ruffin of Chicago, IL. Mother Willis also leaves to cherish her memories her nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family, community family, New Hope Church family and her Alpha and Omega Church family.
