Mr. Rubin David McCall, Sr.'s Obituary
Rubin David McCall Sr. was born the 5th child of Percy and Flossie McCall on October 12, 1938 in Meridian, MS. He married. Mary Lois Carter, the love of his life for 63 years, on May 31, 1958. From this union, five children were born. Rubin David McCall was a devout man of God as a member of the Wesley Chapel UMC. There he groomed his family to love the Lord, while diligently serving as a Lay-Leader, a Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Male Chorus.
His favorite passions were cooking and fellowship with family. He was an avid fisherman, a gardener, a basketball analyst and could lay down a game of cards and dominos . He played the heck out of third base, first base and catcher in the league at the Lake. Rubin McCall loved God, he loved family, and he loved people.
Rubin McCall is survived by his beautiful wife of 63 years, Mary Lois McCall and sister, Sue Belser. He was preceded in death by siblings, Percy McCall Jr., Maybelle Henry, Robert McCall (Eloise), John Wesley, Alfreda Landrum, Willie Bell Walker (Lawrena), Minnie, and Johnnie Mae McCall.
The McCall children are proud descendants of this amazing man of God. The youngest son Rubin David McCall Jr. preceded his father in death. Surviving children bear proud fruit from the union of Lois and David McCall. Vicky Diane Hood (Ricky), Pamela Denise Mosley (Stevie), Flossie Marie McCall (Gary), and Angela McCall Nash. The Grand Children and Great Grand Children: Kino Marques Mosley (Tierney); children: Kino Jr., Kinsey and Kingston; Gerard McCall (Tauna); children: Dasia, Joiya, Austin and Bailee; Ricky Jr. Hood (Nicole); children: Rickey III and Rocky; Stephanie Michelle Payne (Jordan) ; Rodney Michael Hood (Richa); children: Rodney Jr., Rich and Riley and Whitney McCall Hood; and Kristin Brianna Nash; children: Kehlani will all forever remember and share the fond memories spent with their granddaddy.
Rubin David McCall is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
