Mrs. Ruth Faye Lemon Baskin's Obituary
Ruth Faye Lemon Baskin, affectionately known as "Ruth Faye" passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the age of 70. She was born in Meridian, MS to the parent of Evelena Lemon on November 13, 1942. Ruth was employed for many years at East Mississippi State Hospital until she dedicated herself to taking care of her ailing parents. She was loved dearly by many and never met a stranger. Ruth put her heart into being what GOD designed her to be. She remained close to many of her family and friends being separated only by distance; never by love. Ruth was an active woman who loved cooking, gardening and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved the many opportunities given to spend time with friends, children and grandchildren; whenever possible, at her church. She was a mother figure to all who needed the nurturing and guidance of a mother. She was a strong, independent woman who set an example for all on how to live your life. She tried to honor Christ the best way she knew how. She gave generously, of what she had, to many who were in need. Ruth is preceded in death by two sons, James Eric and Michael Dewitt. She is also preceded by her brother John L. She is survived by her loving children: George L. Baskin, Jr., Jackson, MS; LTC Frederick D. (Anita) Baskin, San Antonio, TX Reginald B. (Stacee) Naylor, Ridgeland, MS; and Fatrina D. Naylor, Meridian, MS; grandchildren: Tremaine, Quintin, Jessica, Oriyana, Nikki, Angela, Jordan, Shandy, Lavan, Tre, Chad, Skye, Solomon, Simon, Caleb; great-grandchildren: Fernando, Nicholas and Maya; along with a host of nieces and nephews. "Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalms 6:68
