Mrs. Sadie Carolyn Moore's Obituary
Sadie Carolyn (Gaddis) Moore was born to the late John and Sadie Gaddis on October 22, 1953, in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. From her parents, she inherited her strong faith, family values, and commitment to the community. Home is where the heart is and Carolyn was proud to call Collinsville her lifelong home. A 1971 graduate of West Lauderdale High School, she attended Meridian Junior College and graduated in 1973 after studying Business Administration. In 1981, she was united in Holy Matrimony with the love of her life, Irving Moore Jr. Their union produced two wonderful daughters, Crystal Nicole and Cheryl Lynn. She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and served faithfully as a member and deaconess of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church until her passing.
Carolyn worked for many years in the Meridian Public School system before moving on to Mississippi State Employment Services, where she helped hundreds of people find employment in Lauderdale County. After retirement, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, her grandson, CJ, and working in the church.
After 65 years of positively impacting many lives with her warm and sweet spirit, Carolyn peacefully entered into eternal life on June 18, 2019.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, John and Sadie Gaddis. She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, Irving Moore Jr.; two daughters, Crystal Nicole Moore of Washington DC and Cheryl Lynn (Moore) Blanks of Collinsville, MS; one son-in-law, Carlessio Blanks; one grandson, CJ Blanks; one uncle, Woodie Lynwood Lewis; and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
