Sarah Clark-Johnsonwas born September 17, 1952 in York, Alabama to Mattie Hampton. God called her home on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, MS. Sarah was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian, MS. She was a dedicated nurse for 37 years. She was also a member of the Taj Mahal Chapter #2 in Meridian since 2016.
Sarah was a hard worker, and she believed in enjoying the fruits of her labor every chance she got. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, going to church, and spending time with her mother and family.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted husband of 25 years, Vernon Johnson; her son, Dewayne Clark; her daughter, Cotonya (Eric)Scott; her mother, Mattie Hampton; three grandchildren: Vashanda Clark, Kayla Griffin and Jailen Scott; five great-grandchildren: Christian, Jordan, Joys, Kayden, and Ashton; her mother-in-law, Ida Johnson; a special cousin, Earnestine Moore; a special Godfather, James (Cynthia) Harris; and a host of other family & friends who will forever miss her.
